We made it!

We’ve finally reached Panajachel, Guatemala! After talking with so many of you and sharing about this place it’s exciting to finally be here. Here are some pics of our 2 days of travel.

Ezra liked watching the planes land and take off. He kept saying, “look a big one Daddy!”

My biggest stress was all the luggage. It was God’s way of saying slow down and relax. Of course Amber said the same thing. God often uses Amber to speak to me:)

The kids favorite part was eating the snacks on the airplane. Ezra cried after the first flight was over because he wanted to keep flying.

we had an over night layover in Atlanta so we got to stay with our good friends Rich and Rebecca Nichols. They have been missionaries in Brazil for 10 years so it was good to talk with them and gain some wisdom for our journey. They are such good friends. And they have 3 cute little girls. Abra and Ezra loved playing with them

Noe (The new Humanitarian aid director for The Porch) met us and took us to Dos Lunas, a hotel that teams sometimes stay at over night in Guatemala City. We had a delicious lunch there. And the kids ran around in the courtyard for awhile before our 3 hour drive through the mountains.

We arrived in Panajachel around 7:00 and went to bed pretty quick afterwards. The kids got up the next day and had fun playing in Lloyd and Melanie Monroe’s(Porch Directors) yard. Then we walked around Panajachel and Amber and the kids got their first view of the lake!

We are doing well and have been hunting for a place to live today. Please pray that God would direct us to the right place.
